Insightful article on cultural differences and how we see the world here.
Like it or not, we are - and have been - working in a global marketplace where people have different world views. This article illustrates a few examples of how a US-centric viewpoint is not shared by others that we work with around the world.
I am fortunate to have clients across North America, Asia, the Caribbean and EU. I agree with Mark Herrmann when he writes:
"I was convinced that there are times when you and someone from another country will see an issue entirely differently, and speaking forthrightly about cultural differences might help you to work together more effectively."
